THE BRISBANE - 7.1

I have been working hard over here to learn how to design websites using Squarespace 7.1 … I want to come up with exclusive layouts for their new platform because there are a lot of cool capabilities in the new platform that aren’t available in the 7.0 … I will say that some things aren’t my favorite … but nothing is perfect, right????

So far I’ve created two new layouts using 7.1 for my semi custom website collection … The Manhattan << which you can see more about at that link … and this one I’m about to share:

The Brisbane

Now, if you are familiar with my work, you may notice right away that The Brisbane looks a lot like The Isabella … and you’d be right … The Isabella has been extremely popular and so I wanted to use some of the design elements from that layout in a 7.1 website for my clients …

Below is the homepage of The Brisbane:

One of the coolest additions to the 7.1 platform, in my opinion, are the scrolling capabilities … for instance, on the homepage showcased above, visitors can scroll through featured galleries without needing to scroll or click away from the page …

Also, on the reviews page, featured in a mockup below, visitors can scroll through reviews without having to scroll down … I really love that vibe …

I’m pretty excited about this new website option for my clients … as always, when I build websites, I am creating a UEO strategy, optimizing, and choosing images with my ‘editor’s eye’ so that the bounce rate stays SUPER LOW …
